I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Arts degree in Music Composition at the University of Northern Colorado and previously earned both a Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from the University of New Mexico. My academic background includes extensive study in music theory, composition, counterpoint, electronic music, music history, recording technology, and pedagogy. I also have experience with music software and production tools including Logic Pro, Ableton Live, notation software, and audio recording equipment.

I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience in both classroom and one-on-one settings. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Northern Colorado, I help lead academic events, substitute teach private lessons, and support undergraduate students in their musical development. I previously worked as a Graduate Assistant and Lab Monitor for the Music and Sound Technology Project at the University of New Mexico, where I assisted students with music software, notation programs, synthesizers, recording equipment, and audio production techniques. This experience involved working with students of many different skill levels in a university setting.

I have also taught younger students in group and private lesson environments. As a piano instructor at Hummingbird Music Camp, I taught students ages 8–13 and focused on building confidence, creativity, and technical skills in a supportive learning environment. My teaching approach is patient and adaptable, and I tailor lessons to each student’s goals and experience level.
