My name is Ramana and I love art! I have taught drawing, Principles of Art and Design, printmaking, and watercolor. My Art History experience includes survey courses, as well as specialized experience with Symbolism, Surrealism, Medieval and Renaissance, as well as Asian art. I am familiar with the AP Art exam and can assist with that experience.
I'm also really into teaching and tutoring. As a child I struggled with traditional classroom dynamics, as did my sister. As a teacher and tutor I strive to find ways to tailor my methods to the student. I tutored a mixed group, including students with disabilities, when I was an undergraduate. As a graduate student, I tutored ESL classmates. I have significant experience in research and database usage and have worked in several libraries where I assisted in research projects, including advice with formatting, thesis development, research questions, paper organization, and the overall research process.

Extensive public speaking experience from High School Speech and Debate to conference presentations and classroom teaching. Experience with the Bible in both academic theology settings as well as less formal Bible Studies over the last 10 years.
I am both an artist and an art historian and I bring a unique perspective to the learning of Art History from the point of view of a practitioner. I taught art and art history for 4 years and I have practiced art for the last 20 years.
