I am a PhD student at Simon Fraser University within the Education Doctor of Philosophy Educational Theory and Practice - Curriculum and Pedagogy program. I will be researching how to make climate literacy more accessible to neurodivergent students as I am highly passionate about ensuring learning is equitable to all brains, especially individuals with reading difficulties.
I graduated with a 3.906 from the University of Colorado Boulder with a joint Master's in Learning Sciences and Human Development, and a certificate of Cognitive Science. Prior to this, I graduated my undergraduate degrees in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with a GPA of 3.516, and a 4.00 in the secondary science education licensure program.
I have experience in teaching science topics to middle and high school students, as well as some college level biology. I have also developed curricula to teach climate change education and enjoy finding ways to teach this subject in a way that inspires hope and solutions.
