“**Absolutely phenomenal tutor**”

Hey everybody! I'm Steve and I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I moved to the Denver area a couple of years back to be with my wife who is a Teaching Professor at the Colorado School of Mines. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have taught over twenty different Calculus courses at the undergraduate level on many occasions. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at a university in Colorado. I have been teaching classes for about 15 years and tutoring for about 20 years.

I have a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University with a primary focus in Ordinary, Stochastic, and Partial Differential Equations. Additionally, I routinely perform research, publish journal articles, and teach courses in Differential Equations.

I have taught courses in Discrete Mathematics at the undergraduate level on many occasions.

I have taught courses in Finite Mathematics at the undergraduate level on many occasions.

I have taught courses in Linear Algebra at the undergraduate and graduate level on many occasions.

I have taught courses in Mathematical Logic at the undergraduate level on many occasions.

I routinely use MATLAB for research purposes and to perform extensive matrix computations and simulate differential equations. Additionally, I have taught courses in Scientific Computing with MATLAB at the undergraduate and graduate level many times.
