Hello! My name is Timothy and I am an undergraduate sophomore Mechanical Engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fruita Monument High School, and one of the main reasons I performed so well was because I had great instructors and teachers! They made my high school experience memorable and made me develop a desire to learn to teach and share my knowledge. I am open to as many questions as possible and will always try to find the best way to explain a topic simply and intuitively. The peak of my tutoring experience is helping out my peers with homework and in-class work, and I am excited to further achieve experience through direct 1-on-1 tutoring sessions.
I specialize in Math, having obtained a 740 on the SAT math section and a 5 on both AP Calculus AB and BC. In College, I have completed and excelled in advanced math and physics, as well as some other courses, like chemistry 1 and engineering statics. As a current engineering student, I have fresh experience with recent Math and Science curriculum, but am still enjoying learning more and more about how the world works!
I am available for a few hours each week and will gladly work with you to find a time that best fits your schedule, where I will also be transparent about mine. I am more than happy to share some of my time, and I look forward to helping students not just succeed in their class, but also feel more confident on their problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
