Professional Mechanical Engineer and STEM Tutor

Hello! My name is Michael! I graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2020 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout high school and my first couple years of college I learned that the most engaging, entertaining, and educational classes I took were those with the instructors I enjoyed the most. This led me to want to become one of those great instructors that students would be able to learn from easily and remember fondly in the future so for my last three years of college I became a Teaching Assistant for a manufacturing lab class that all Mechanical Engineering students take at ISU.

This Teaching Assistant position was not only extremely fun and personally fulfilling (I just love to teach!) but it also garnered me professional experience as an instructor. My responsibilities included giving lectures, demonstrating safe manufacturing practices, overseeing hands-on lab activities, and providing after-hours assistance to students who needed a little more guidance on the coursework. That last part, working one-on-one with students who needed more help, was the best part! I held countless help sessions over the years at school and loved every bit of it.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer and do math all day! Proficient in tutoring all math, especially Basic Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and High Calculus.

Recently graduated with my BS in Mechanical Engineering so the coursework is still fresh in my head and I understand what it takes to survive college!
