I have been teaching guitar for almost as long as I've been playing (which is 16 years). As I was developing and learning I would always have to show my other friends who played what I just learned. Teaching what I have learned always felt natural but I realized with time that teaching others is one of the best ways to fully understand and absorb what you know. Teaching what I have learned always felt natural but I realized with time that teaching others is one of the best ways to fully understand and absorb what you know. I truly love watching my students grow as musicians and also love the way that you can learn off of each other in a student teacher relationship with music.
I have been playing for almost two decades and attended the Atlanta Institute of Music for a year to receive a certificate in guitar. I can teach students to read music with a more classical approach and can also teach how to ”play from the gut” in more of a blues and rock fashion which is personally how I enjoy to play guitar.
I am always interested in teaching new students from all age and skill levels. We can always talk before we start lessons to see if I'm the right fit for your goals.
