Hi! I am a math and ACT prep tutor with two years of one-on-one tutoring experience. I graduated in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in engineering science and have been working as a tutor and electrical engineer since! My engineering degree was very math-intensive, and I use math every day as an electrical engineer. Because of this, I have developed a deep and intuitive understanding of high school math concepts; I can break them down clearly and simplify them so that they make sense. I also have received ACT training through a national tutoring company, where I learned proven strategies to help students succeed on the test. My ACT students saw their scores increase up to six points across sections!

I believe tutoring is invaluable because it allows students to get help tailored exactly to their needs, which is often hard to achieve in a traditional classroom. Learning is deeply individual, so I am committed to discovering the methods and explanations that work best for you. One of my favorite things about tutoring is helping students break difficult problems down into pieces that are much more manageable. This helps students build confidence without feeling overwhelmed by complex problems. I love encouraging students and helping them build their strengths!
