Hello, I am a Spanish tutor with a passion for helping beginners feel confident and supported from their first day. I am from Panama and Spanish is my first language and as such Spanish has always been a big part of my life. I currently work as a paraprofessional supporting elementary school students in their respective classes. Regardless of the classes in which I support the students, I try to make the subjects engaging and try to be comprehensible, because it is in fact how you teach things rather than the things you teach them that can have a big impact on enjoyment of a certain skill and learning a language is no different.
Outside of my experiences in the school, I have some experience teaching Italian to children of varying ages. I had a small group of students who were interested in learning Italian and developed games or ideas that would focus on reinforcing learning and encouraging them to practice speaking and writing.
These games were of course centered on the learning styles of children, but I welcome students of any age, and I understand how to adapt to different learning styles and therefore work to benefit the students and any suggestions or resources the student or parent may have.
