Hi, I'm Tabitha! I am a recent graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's degree in International Studies specializing in East Asia, as well as a Japanese minor. During my time CSU I participated in a peer mentorship program for my major, where I was able to connect with and counsel freshman and sophomores within the international studies program. I also was the Social Media and Marketing Chair for the CSU Japan Club, and won first place in my category in the 34th Colorado Japanese Language Speech Contest when I competed for CSU. The highlight of my college career was studying abroad in Japan during my final semester, where I completed advanced level Japanese courses at Kansai Gaidai University. After I returned, I graduated and received the award for INST Outstanding Major for the Asian Studies Concentration. I am now currently working towards my fluency certification for N2 level Japanese while working full-time.
Throughout my college career and years prior, I always have found joy in mentoring and teaching, and would love to apply this to my journey with the Japanese language. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to share the wonderful culture and language of Japan, but to also learn from how my students study and absorb the language.
Since I am still in the process of studying for N2, I will only be accepting students who are N4 and N5 levels only!
So, if you're interested in learning a new language, or are in need of some additional guidance and practice at the introductory level, please reach out and schedule a lesson!
