About Warren

Bio

I'm a retired high school and college math teacher, and I've been teaching and tutoring for about 30 years. I make learning math EASY and ENJOYABLE! My expertise is helping students in courses starting with high school algebra and moving all the way to college-level calculus, with an emphasis on high school AP Calculus (AB and BC). However, I have also taught middle school math and can help make that level of math attainable for students as well.

To give you a little more information about...

I'm a retired high school and college math teacher, and I've been teaching and tutoring for about 30 years. I make learning math EASY and ENJOYABLE! My expertise is helping students in courses starting with high school algebra and moving all the way to college-level calculus, with an emphasis on high school AP Calculus (AB and BC). However, I have also taught middle school math and can help make that level of math attainable for students as well.

To give you a little more information about me, I've been selected "Teacher of the Year" twice when I worked in Houston, Texas, and I worked with training teachers to teach AP Calculus. After retiring from teaching in Texas, I moved to the mountains of Colorado and LOVE it here!

I'm excited to help students succeed in math - any level in which you might be struggling, or in which you might want to get ahead. Due to Covid, I am doing all tutoring remotely, using such resources as Zoom, Google Classroom, Peardeck, Desmos Calculator, and other online tools.

I currently teach 8th Grade Math in Colorado, which uses the Common Core Curriculum. I have two years of experience with teaching Common Core. I am excited to help students who use Common Core as their curriculum base!

I am certified to teach grades 6-12 as well as college-level math. I have taught Math for the Elementary Teacher on the college level. Although I have never taught elementary level math, I do have all the tools necessary to help students who are struggling as well as those who are advanced!

Very Knowledgeable and able to explain in depth!

Warren is a super nice guy who truly cares about students’ success. He is very knowledgeable in math courses such as Business Math, which he taught me! He took the time outside of tutoring to review my notes and exams to work out my problems and show up prepared! He is patient and is extremely well at explaining the concepts in different ways for everyone to understand! I highly recommend!!!
