I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Redlands, where my coursework included probability and statistics, real analysis, abstract algebra, and mathematical statistics. My senior capstone focused on measure theory, building the foundational proofs underlying probability. I am currently completing my 6th–12th grade mathematics teaching credential in Colorado while working as a Mathematics Instructional Fellow at Eagle Rock School, where I design and teach my own courses to students ages 14–20.
At Eagle Rock, I teach three math courses that I built from scratch, including a data and statistics course grounded in real-world social issues, and a course specifically designed for students with math anxiety. Many of my students have been pushed out of traditional education systems, and my approach centers on meeting students where they are, rebuilding their confidence, and showing them that they are more capable than they believe. I use a mix of collaborative problem-solving, real-world contexts, and structured support to help students engage with math on their own terms.
Before Eagle Rock, I spent several years tutoring through America Counts and other organizations, working primarily one-on-one and in small groups with underserved communities. I have tutored students ranging from middle school through high school in subjects including pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus. Whether a student needs help building foundational skills or getting through a tough class, I specialize in making math feel less intimidating and building the confidence that makes everything else click.
