I am a 3rd year medical student with a BS in Neuroscience. In high school and college, I spent a lot of time tutoring students, whether it was a part of my job working at Kumon or at various middle schools and high schools. In high school, I took 16 AP classes, earning 4's and 5's on all of them, including AP Physics C, AP Chemistry, AP Comp Science, AP US Gov, and AP Calculus BC. I received a 36 on the ACT.

Many tutoring companies encourage a rote memorization approach, especially when it comes to Math and other STEM courses, but my tutoring and personal experience has taught me that rote memorization caters only to short term memory. But the conceptual level thinking that is required for AP classes, standardized tests like the ACT and SAT, and college, are only achieved through a comprehensive understanding that I try to implement whenever I tutor. I have tutored children of all ages ranging from 3-17 years old both in a one on one setting and in a small group setting of 4-5 students. I have also worked with high school and college students on prerequisites. I like to create an open environment where the student is actively engaging with the concepts that I introduce and I believe that a student does not truly know how to apply a concept until the student can teach it to someone else and that is the goal of each of my lessons.
I am thrilled to be given this opportunity so please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, would like to learn more about me, or schedule a session!
