Hi, I'm Michael. My background is primarily in architectural illustration with a recent venture into woodworking. Creativity has always been in the forefront of my career. I have bachelor degrees in both Architecture and Architectural Illustration as well as an associate degree in Fine Woodworking. I have had my own illustration business for nearly 20 years and have recently begun a fine woodworking business as well.

I've always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with friends, family, and colleagues and helping them with software or skills that I've learned over the years. More recently, I have been a teachers assistant in a college woodworking program for the past 5 years, teaching segments of class and continually helping students one-on-one as questions arise. Additionally, I have taught many half and full day classes on my own on specialized topics. I love to see students grow and take the tools that I have shared to make something uniquely theirs! As a teacher, I focus not only on fundamentals, but the nitty-gritty of how to make the most out of the skills being taught. As with most skills, including software, there are multiple ways of accomplishing a single task. My goal is not just to teach the various methods, but those methods which work best for that particular student.

I've been working with computers since I first learned AutoCAD (drafting software) in 1990. I love learning new software and digging in to advanced techniques and learning how to optimize my time. My preferences in software are on the creative side of things and over the years have included graphics and illustrations, music studio recording, CAD and animation, and video editing software. If I have a project that needs software I don't know, I learn it! And as a business owner I also work with office products including word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting software.

I've been working professionally with Photoshop since version 3.0. Not Creative Cloud version 3, but Version 3.0! Think 1993. This was before they had layers. Ca
