Knowledgeable and fun art teacher!
Allison has been helping me improve my drawing ability and she has been fantastic! She listens to what I am interested in and has great ideas on how to develop my skills so I can get there! I really enjoy my sessions with her. She is fun and flexible AND she knows so much - I will be working with her for a long time. We start on-time and work the full hour. It is always productive and fun.

Deep understanding of drawing and art
Allison is extremely passionate, positive, and well-prepared for each session. She is very talented and has examples and tools to develop drawings. The student is 9 years old and expressed an interest in learning all phases of drawing. Allison began with some elements of the face and shading with different pencils. Although these were great places to start for some students, our student was not very motivated to practice these on his own. His mom has decided to suspend further sessions while she reevaluates what he wants to obtain from drawing sessions. Unfortunately, it was also difficult to continue the tutoring sessions at 6 pm in the evening, which was the time Allison was available, and still keep to a weeknight schedule for dinner and bed. Our student was winding down and not as focused at that time. That said, we would recommend Allison for future tutoring.
