Hi! My name is Vincent, and I have been tutoring students both online and in person for the past few years. I work with students across a range of ages and skill levels, with a particular focus on math support and foundational skill-building. My experience includes helping students who are struggling to keep up in class, as well as those who want to strengthen their understanding and move ahead more confidently. I also have experience working with students who benefit from extra patience, structure, and step-by-step explanations to make challenging material more accessible.
My approach to tutoring is centered on clarity, patience, and building confidence. I believe that most difficulties in math come from gaps in earlier understanding, so I focus on identifying those gaps and rebuilding skills in a way that makes sense to each individual student. I try to make concepts feel approachable by breaking problems into smaller steps, using real-world explanations when helpful, and encouraging students to talk through their thinking rather than just memorize procedures. My goal is always to create a low-stress environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
I especially enjoy working with students who may feel frustrated or discouraged with math, because I’ve seen how quickly confidence can grow when concepts start to “click.” At the same time, I also enjoy working with students who are motivated and want to challenge themselves further. Whether the goal is catching up, keeping up, or getting ahead, I aim to meet students where they are and help them build both understanding and confidence over time.
