I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (teaching concentration) from California State University of Fullerton and earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I am a fully credentialed and licensed teacher in teaching Secondary Math. My tutoring style is patient, clear, and focused on helping students actually build conceptual knowledge of mathematics in addition to procedural fluency. I love asking students the "why" behind each step of a process in order to build their conceptual knowledge and help them develop a conceptual awareness of the steps they are taking to solve problems.
Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for a test, or building confidence in math, I work to make things click conceptually and procedurally.
