I previously worked as a technology tutor at a community college, where I helped students one-on-one with a wide range of computer and technology courses. Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications were some of the most common areas students needed help with. I enjoy working with beginners and explaining technology in a practical, approachable way rather than assuming someone already knows the terminology or where to start.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and have continued using technology extensively throughout my professional career. My experience includes advanced Excel, formulas, PivotTables, data cleanup and analysis, Power Query, VBA/macros, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows, and general computer troubleshooting. I also previously worked in IT support and as a service desk supervisor, which gave me extensive experience helping people diagnose problems, learn unfamiliar software, and become more comfortable using their computers.
My tutoring style is hands-on and patient. I like to work through a problem with the student, explain why each step works, and make sure they can repeat the process independently afterward. I can help with coursework as well as practical workplace technology skills. I am also comfortable helping beginners learn how to use modern AI tools such as ChatGPT for everyday productivity while understanding their limitations and using them responsibly.
