Hello! I'm Kristen, a certified elementary teacher with seven years of experience. Throughout my journey, I earned a Master of Science degree and completed the Boettcher Program in Colorado to obtain my teaching certificate. I have worked as a paraprofessional in K-1 and have taught grades 3 and 5. My experience spans various settings, including classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one sessions. I am excited to bring my passion for education to a more personalized tutoring environment. My goal is to build strong, positive relationships with both students and their families, creating a supportive space where learners can truly thrive.

I specialize in literacy and language development, particularly for students with unique learning needs. My expertise is grounded in specialized training, including the Orton-Gillingham method and Morphology, through the Institute of Multi-Sensory Education. These research-based approaches are incredibly effective for students with dyslexia and other challenges in reading, writing, and spelling, regardless of their age. They also provide significant benefits for English as a Second Language learners.

In addition to literacy, I am trained in early math intervention. I offer engaging and enjoyable math lessons for students in kindergarten through sixth grade, focusing on both foundational skills and advanced concepts.
