Welcome! I’m Eli, a 31 year old math tutor based in Colorado. I’ve been working in education since I was 16, have been certified to teach mathematics at the middle and high school levels in three states, and hold a graduate degree in mathematics education. I am dedicated to helping students find the joys of learning math and finding more of those ‘aha’ moments every day!
I focus on personalizing learning opportunities to ensure that students internalize ideas and make connections to their prior understanding, forming a lasting knowledge base with strong foundations. Knowing what my pupils can already do and already understand is essential, and finding opportunities to strengthen these foundations and fill knowledge or skill gaps takes time and patience! I consider these my greatest strengths as a teacher.
