I offer patient and tailored instruction in research methods, statistics, psychology and neuroscience. This includes introduction to statistics, psych stats, experimental psychology, AP statistics, and quantitative research methods. I've helped many students gain a grasp of the difficult concepts in statistics and research methods which have so far eluded them in classrooms and lectures. I can help with exam prep, problem sets, research projects, data analysis, manuscript writing ... whatever...

My background in academic research and data science has given me a deep understanding of research methods in psychology and neuroscience, and how to explain them in terms that make sense. I received my bachelor's degree in neuroscience from Pomona College along with a minor in psychology, completing an undergraduate experimental thesis which earned me a travel grant to present the project at the Society for Neuroscience conference in San Diego. Afterwards I spent two years in a psychology lab at Northeastern University, and published a paper on emotion and decision making. Additionally, I've received professional accreditations in hypothesis testing from Georgia Tech and data science from the Chegg Skills Data Science Bootcamp.

Statistics and research methods can have a way of leading even the brightest students into the depths of confusion and frustration. I offer patient and engaging instruction that has given many the confidence and skills to excel where they previously thought they couldn't. I had a research methods class with a progressive assignment that built upon a hypothetical research scenario each week. Each week the instructor would give feedback on a discussion board and I was having trouble both anticipating the requirements of the initial assignment and interpreting this feedback.
