As a native English speaker and a trained educator with 7 years of college level teaching, I am experienced in accessing student abilities. I hold high standards and support students to improve rapidly.
The college that I teach at used to use Accuplacer to assess students’ abilities. I have taken the Accuplacer as a faculty member in order to gain knowledge of what is being measured and how. I’m currently tutoring an adult student on another tutoring platform in the Accuplacer essay. As a faculty member of largely first semester college students, I have done hundreds of hours of career counseling. Also, I’ve taught an introductory college course which used to be called College 101.
My nature is to encourage and motivate while holding high expectations for academic growth. I am knowledgeable, experienced and have a good sense of humor. I look forward to working together soon!
