With more than 25 years experience as a bilingual language educator, I believe that literature, culture, and language are among the most powerful tools for learning and human connection. I specialize in working with upper elementary through high school students, including dual-language immersion, Honors, and AP programs, as well as heritage Spanish speakers and advanced adult learners. Every lesson is tailored to each learner's goals and learning style.

My teaching is rooted in the belief that language grows best through meaningful reading, writing, and conversation. Literature builds vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical thinking, writing skills, and confidence because it connects language to ideas as well as grammar.

Whether we're analyzing a novel, improving an essay, strengthening reading comprehension, or discussing a text in Spanish, every lesson is designed to help students become thoughtful, confident communicators.
I especially enjoy working with children's, middle-grade, and young adult literature because these books create engaging opportunities for language growth, discussion, and a lifelong love of reading.

Throughout my career, I have taught English and Spanish in academic, professional, and private settings, including work with Berlitz, Learn Associates, and my own language consulting practice. As a native bilingual speaker of English and Spanish, I bring academic and cultural experience to every lesson.
