I am an elementary school tutor, teaching all subjects to students with and without special needs. I specialize in teaching reading to students with dyslexia and other reading struggles. I am trained in the Orton Gillingham approach. I also tutor math, writing, and English as a second language. I hold a New York State Professional Certification for Childhood Education 1-6 and Literacy Birth-6.

For most of my career, I have been a school teacher with a strong background in Childhood Development and Literacy Education. I have taught Pre-Kindergarten, Second Grade, Fourth Grade, and Sixth Grade Language Arts in elementary schools. I currently am the assistant principal at a private school.

I have had experience teaching in an international school in China where I taught elementary school as well as tutored children and adults learning English. I also have a substantial amount of experience working with students with disabilities such as ADHD, autism, Down syndrome and other learning and physical disabilities.

As a teacher, I aim to empower students to lead a happy life full of compassion and to inspire them to listen to their hearts, follow their dreams and reach their goals. I believe my experience coupled with my strong work ethic, sound practical judgment, sense of integrity and sense of responsibility would make a career with your school both professionally rewarding and mutually beneficial.
