My son needed support for his preparation of the SAT PHYSICS subject test. Not only he made great improvements but also started to see physics from a more friendly point of view and to like it as well. Nazli not only is and expert in physics but also she knows how to go through SAT preparation and strategize. Well done and Thank you!!

Nazli is a great tutor. She is able to adjust her lesson plan to accommodate what my daughter needs and is very patient and encouraging.

Update:

We are very impressed with Nazli. Since working with Nazli my daughter's confidence has really improved and we've seen an increase in her test scores. Highly recommend Nazli as a tutor.

Nazli has been helping my daughter with physics concepts for the last month. She has accomplished more in 6 sessions that my daughter's teacher did all semester. Nazli is thorough, patient, knowledgeable and very interested in her students' success. She is prompt, reliable and flexible. I would highly recommend Nazli for your tutoring needs.

My daughter really appreciates the tutoring from Nazli and her grades have really improved. She especially likes the way the Nazli works with her to understand the concepts involved for long term success!

Nazli has not only been very patient with my son but she quickly recognized his strengths and weakness and designed a tutoring format to meet his needs specifically. My son really enjoys his sessions with Nazli as she helped him to feel more confident in his approach to assigned math tasks.

After 20+ years since I was in a math class, I was intimidated at the thought of revisiting the subject. I waited until I absolutely had to take the required math class for my BS and I wasn't sure how I was going to learn enough to test into the course I needed. I looked into the tutoring route. I had no prior experience finding a tutor, so I just googled it. I came across WyzAnt, but more important I found Nazli. She is wonderful and exactly what I was looking for. She is patient, soft spoken, approachable, and friendly. She is also knowledgeable and a great teacher. I am on my way of reaching my goal.

Nazli has been tutoring my son on the ACT. She has provided him with test taking strategies and help in areas where he is deficient. She has been helpful in both math and English. I appreciate that she has been flexible with scheduling. My son says that she is helpful and feels his skills are improving.

Our daughter was introduced to Physics by Nazli. It was such a wonderful experience to see our girl show interest in such a challenging subject. Nazli's impassioned attitude, knowledgeable background as well as her eloquent demeanor lets us have the comfort of knowing our daughter is learning from such a caring, qualified tutor.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My approach with the English section of the ACT is 2-fold: 1) Thorough review of the language's syntax and structure; 2) Test taking strategies. Each student has unique needs. I ask my students to take a practice test to determine baseline scores. From there, we work together to develop a custom tutoring plan that consists of concept review and test-taking strategies tailored to the student. To gain mastery of new skills learned, I encourage my students to practice via assigned homework. I also provide my student's with resources to facilitate the learning process. My students typically do very well with scores in the 30's.

I focus on test taking strategy development for the Science section of the test. Each student has unique needs. I ask my students to take a practice test to determine baseline scores. From there, we work together to develop a custom tutoring plan that consists of strategy development based on the student's needs. Many students struggle with running out of time on this section of the test. I've seen that once we develop effective strategies and students gain mastery of these strategies through lots of practice, students typically see a dramatic increase in their science scores!

I excel at tutoring the Physics portion on the MCAT test. I focus on concept review (when it is needed) and test taking strategies based on the needs of my student. Every student is unique. I work closely with my students to devise test-taking strategies and a tutoring program that helps them ace the test.
