Hi, I'm Nazli! I'm a Ph.D.-educated test prep specialist and academic coach who has helped students increase their SAT/ACT scores by an average of 100+ points. SAT & ACT: I begin with a thorough diagnostic to identify my students' specific strengths and growth areas. Then I develop a customized plan targeting exactly what students need - whether that's conquering complex math concepts, mastering grammar rules, or improving reading comprehension. I also teach crucial time management and pacing strategies tailored to my students' testing style. For students struggling with test anxiety, I incorporate evidence-based mindfulness techniques that keep them calm and focused on test day.

Math & Physics: My students learn to appreciate real-world applications of the concepts they grapple with, making learning relevant and enjoyable. What may appear to be a complicated problem at first quickly becomes something quite easy to solve, much to the relief of my students! My approach to one-on-one tutoring is to guide my students with acquiring content skills as well as empower them to develop the confidence they need to succeed.

My students typically do very well on the English section and the ACT test overall with score increases ranging from 2 points to 6 points. My highest scoring students have received a 35 on the ACT. I use a very systematic approach to the English section of the test: a thorough review of grammar rules (if needed), personalized test-taking strategies, time management and pacing strategies, test-taking anxiety management. My students have gone on to universities of their choice including Harvard, Princeton, Berkeley and Stanford. I tutor all sections of the ACT & SAT.

Just what I was looking for!

After 20+ years since I was in a math class, I was intimidated at the thought of revisiting the subject. I waited until I absolutely had to take the required math class for my BS and I wasn't sure how I was going to learn enough to test into the course I needed. I looked into the tutoring route.
