My name is Natalie and I have been teaching writing of all kinds for 10 years. I began my teaching career at the University of Colorado-Boulder as a writing center consultant, tutoring undergraduate and graduate students from all academic backgrounds and walks of life. I have been an instructor at the college-level at the University at Buffalo (SUNY), where I am earning my doctoral degree in English, and I have taught high school English and dual-enrollment classes for the last 2 years. My teaching philosophy is all about individualized attention to writers, recognizing that we each bring different (and amazing) idiosyncrasies to the page.
I specialize in writing about science, writing about literature, personal narrative (especially for college admissions in the United States), and long-form writing of many kinds (journalistic, argumentative). I have also worked behind the scenes in academic publishing as an editorial assistant: send me your prose to be polished, or discuss best practices for major revision.
