Hi! I am a fourth-year medical student at the University of Colorado with a passion for teaching and medical education. Through my education, I have loved helping students build their confidence and motivation by overcoming their obstacles and understanding concepts beyond just memorization. I have a strong academic background in both clinical and didactic settings, and I am excited to help you in any step of your medical journey! My teaching philosophy revolves around adapting to your learning style so that you can grow your critical thinking, problem solving, and long term fundamental understanding of difficult topics. Whether its medical school course work, USMLE Step 1 or 2 testing, MCAT material, or a science course, I focus on working with you to help them through your struggles, and to also share my struggles as a student and how I navigated them. I believe that success in academics comes from learning methods that help you navigate weaknesses, although learning is not easy, with the right framework, any student can achieve success.
During college, I served as an teaching assistant for molecular biology where I taught weekly recitation sessions of 30 students each. In this role I would lecture on science content, facilitate active learning, ask and answer questions, and promote collaboration in a classroom setting. I also have multiple years of one-on-one tutoring in biology, physiology, and chemistry to both high school and undergraduate students.
I hope to pursue medical education as part of my career as a physician and tutoring allows me to combine my interests in teaching, mentorship, and medicine.

Approved Subjects

Essay Writing

Essay Writing

As a 4th year medical student graduating soon, I have had to write my fair share of essays throughout the admissions process and within school. I have developed a stronger understanding of what constitutes a good essay on an application. I have revised and edited the essays of a large handful of pre-med students that I have mentored through their application, who all were accepted to medical schools in the US.
Genetics

Genetics

My background in genetics includes advanced undergraduate coursework, medical school training, and experience teaching foundational molecular biology concepts as a Learning Assistant. I enjoy helping students understand genetic principles by connecting molecular mechanisms to inheritance, disease, and real-world applications rather than relying on memorization alone. I tailor each lesson to the student's needs, whether they are preparing for exams, strengthening core concepts, or working through challenging genetics problems.
MCAT

MCAT

I successfully navigated the medical school admissions process and scored a 516 on the MCAT. Preparing for this exam was unlike anything I had done in undergraduate, and required building a strong foundation across many subjects. I enjoy helping students organize their preparation so that they have structure to their studying. Additionally, I look to identify and help teach weak areas so that they can gain confidence on test day.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I work with students to develop personal statements that are authentic, well-structured, and reflective of their unique experiences and goals. Rather than rewriting essays for applicants, I provide detailed feedback on content, organization, clarity, and storytelling while helping each student maintain their own voice. I have coached numerous pre medical and pre law students with their personal statements. Although my background is medical, the foundations of a personal statement can apply broadly no matter your career path.
USMLE

USMLE

I am a 4th year medical student who has completed their USMLE exams (step 1 and 2). I scored above the 90th percentile on Step 2 and look to help other students with their planning, core medical knowledge, and test taking strategy. I have multiple experiences one on one tutoring new medical students on how to approach NBME questions for their shelf exams and USMLE Step exams. Also, I have helped many students narrow down their studying methods so that they are being as efficient as possible, which is crucial for large exams like these.
