I am a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado. I've done electrical design and calculations for hospitals, medical research facilities, universities, stadiums, theme parks, and many other project types. I hold a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University and have more than five years of experience applying calculus, physics, and electrical engineering principles in professional practice. In my current full-time role, I lead electrical design work on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects and regularly mentor entry-level engineers. I also present annual Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam and Professional Engineering (PE) Exam preparation panels for 50+ participants, where I cover exam structure, study planning, and discipline-specific preparation strategies.
Before entering professional practice, I tutored engineering students at Kansas State University for four years through the Scholars Assisting Scholars program, working one-on-one and in small groups in subjects such as Engineering Physics and Calculus I/II. I hosted exam review sessions for groups of 20 to 40 students, built worked-example sets and explained common problem types ahead of midterms and finals. As an Engineering Physics Learning Assistant, I helped students through laboratory procedures, instrumentation, error analysis, troubleshooting, and lab report writing. Those experiences taught me to adapt my explanations to the student in front of me, figure out what is blocking their understanding, and make difficult technical material feel easy to understand.
I bring my students a combination of subject-matter depth, test-preparation experience, and professional maturity. I am comfortable teaching complicated topics from first principles while also giving students concrete strategies for pacing, accuracy, and exam readiness on whatever topic or exam they are studying.
