My path to medicine is anything but traditional. I studied Data Science and Computer Science at Colorado State University and spent several years working as a software engineer before deciding to pursue medicine. I completed a formal post-baccalaureate program and took the MCAT just one year after my very first chemistry class, ultimately scoring a 525 and placing in the 100th percentile. That experience taught me that unconventional approaches can yield exceptional results, and it's a philosophy I bring directly into my tutoring.
Because I largely forged my own path through MCAT prep, choosing my own materials, building my own systems, and ignoring a lot of conventional wisdom, I have a uniquely flexible perspective on what actually works. I also have ADHD, which means I deeply understand the challenges neurodivergent students face and can offer strategies that go beyond the standard advice. Whether a student learns best through spaced repetition, active recall, concept mapping, or something else entirely, I meet them where they are rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all method.
My tutoring experience spans multiple subjects and age groups, from one-on-one sessions to group settings, and I've worked with students at various stages of their academic journeys. For MCAT specifically, I offer a comprehensive approach: content review, test-taking strategy, and personalized study plan development including full timelines tailored to each student's schedule and starting point. I've familiarized myself extensively with all major MCAT resources and prep materials so I can help students navigate their options intelligently rather than wasting time on the wrong tools. My goal is to be the tutor I wish I had, adaptable, experienced, and genuinely invested in each student's success.
