My current work at the University and State Colleges allows me to work closely with students to master challenging subjects, with a particular emphasis on Molecular & Cellular Biology, Pathophysiology, & the intricacies of Anatomy & Physiology. My instructional background is extensive, involving the design of comprehensive curricula for courses such as Zoology, Botany, & Environmental Science. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners, including college students & adult learners, always focusing on translating difficult concepts into manageable, "A-level" understanding.
To ensure my students receive the most accurate and high-level guidance, I back my teaching experience with a solid academic foundation. I earned my Master of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, following a Bachelor of Science in Applied Natural Science from the University of Southern Colorado. My commitment to the field goes beyond the classroom; I have conducted extensive field research in diverse ecosystems, from studying mangrove and sea turtle ecology in Puerto Rico to researching tropical rainforest health & primate ecology in Panama.
I believe that academic success is a collaborative journey, and my primary focus remains the long-term success and personal growth of those I advise. I continuously update my own knowledge through advanced coursework in subjects like Geomorphology, Primatology, and neurodiverse teaching practices to better serve the unique needs of every individual I tutor.
