Hi! I’m Melanie — a Special Education teacher with experience supporting students in grades K–6. I specialize in helping students who struggle with reading, writing, math, attention, organization, and behavior. I currently teach full-time in a public school and am in my second year of advanced coursework toward my SPED licensure. I have hands-on experience with basic reading skills from phonics, fluency, decoding, spelling, all the way to comprehension, and math skills such as fact fluency, number sense, and multi-step problem solving. Additionally, I have experience supporting students through executive functioning skills, behavior support, and implementing motivation systems.
I believe all students can grow with the right support. My tutoring sessions are structured, engaging, and based on evidence-based practices. I use clear modeling, guided practice, structured routines, and personalized feedback so your child feels successful and confident.
My goal is to help your child make measurable progress while building independence and a positive mindset. If you’re looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and highly trained educator who truly understands diverse learners — I’d love to work with you!
