Hi, I’m Giovanni! I double majored in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Connecticut and spent a year and a half in the Optics PhD program at the University of Rochester’s Institute of Optics. For over 5 years, I’ve taught and tutored high school and college students in a wide range of quantitative subjects. My expertise covers most math and physics courses, general chemistry, and the quantitative sections of the SAT, ACT, and GRE.
My goal in tutoring is not only to improve scores and build confidence in the classroom: the main focus is to learn how to think critically. Of course, getting better grades is important, but the true way I measure success in my sessions is if the student leaves with far improved problem solving skills. Over the years, I’ve found that these skills not only help in academics but also make learning new concepts in any area much faster and more intuitive.
I strive to make every session engaging, tailored, and effective, so that students leave not just understanding the material, but confident in their ability to tackle new challenges.
