I hold a PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of Edinburgh, where my research focused on prospective mental imagery, future thinking, and episodic memory. I also completed an MSc in Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience and a BSc in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK. In addition, I hold the professional certification of Associate Fellowship (AFHEA) with Advance HE, formally recognizing my teaching and learning support in higher education. This certification, combined with advanced study, has given me both a strong academic foundation and practical teaching skills.
For four years, I worked as a Postgraduate Tutor at the University of Edinburgh, supporting adult learners at both undergraduate and master’s levels. I prepared seminar materials based on course organiser specifications, delivered instruction across a range of psychology subjects, and facilitated group discussions. I supported students in developing academic skills, clarifying concepts, and building confidence. I also offered one-to-one support, though I do not provide proofreading or editing of student work. I can, however, provide informal guidance to PhD candidates who are navigating research design, writing, or data analysis. My teaching incorporated inclusive practices, ensuring students from diverse backgrounds felt supported and able to succeed.
When working with students, my approach is flexible and accessible. I adjust explanations and pacing to fit the student's different learning styles and use clear examples, recommended resources, and interactive methods to keep sessions engaging. This variety helps students connect with material in ways that make sense to them. My goal is to make challenging topics approachable and to guide students in developing the critical thinking skills that will support them in their academic and professional paths.
