My four years teaching middle school science before starting my MD/PhD, combined with four years of educational outreach programs during medical school, have strengthened my ability to break down complex concepts into clear, approachable explanations. I work with students to not only understand the material, but also to build problem-solving skills and confidence that will serve them beyond the classroom.
My tutoring and teaching background is built on a strong track record of academic excellence. I scored above the 90th percentile on Step 2 and the MCAT, and successfully passed Step 1 which transitioned to pass/fail the year I took the exam. Throughout my academic career, I have maintained exceptional performance, earning a 4.0 GPA in both my PhD and Master’s programs, and a 3.96 GPA in my Bachelor’s degree. These achievements reflect not only mastery of challenging material but also a disciplined and effective approach to learning—qualities I bring into every tutoring session.
