Hi, I’m Morgan! I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with BAs in Arabic and International Studies, as well as a minor in Spanish. I also earned an MA in International Studies from University of Denver, and an MA in Sociology from University of Minnesota.
I’ve been tutoring for many years: I started helping younger classmates with their writing when I was in high school, and as an undergrad I worked as a peer tutor and in-class assistant for my university’s Arabic program. During my five years as a teaching assistant and graduate instructor at the University of Minnesota, I taught Intro to Sociology and Social Theory, and led my own discussion sections for undergraduate and graduate-level Social Statistics and Research Methods. I received enthusiastic feedback from students and faculty, who called out my dedication to my students and my commitment to their success. While Statistics is a particular interest of mine, I’m happy to help students in the social sciences with any part of their coursework, especially writing.
My teaching style is approachable, engaging, and collaborative; my goal is to make sure my students are able to develop their own curiosity and creativity with their coursework and make the material their own.
