I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with an English minor from the University of Colorado Denver. My coursework included extensive study in logic, scientific reasoning, ethics, critical thinking, literature, and composition, providing me with an excellent foundation in reading comprehension, writing, and analytical reasoning. I worked as an academic tutor for CU Denver's Philosophy Department and Learning Resource Center, where I provided one-on-one and group tutoring for undergraduate students.
My tutoring approach is highly adaptable, using tailored methods to meet each student's goals, whether they are middle school, high school, college, or adult learners. I focus on simplifying complex concepts, developing study strategies, and empowering students with the confidence they need to achieve success. My goal is to maximize understanding of the subject matter by way of discussing the relevant elements, components, or parts in different ways, discover which study techniques work best for the student, and see the process through in terms of completing the assignment, task, or operation at hand.
As a competitive athlete in my youth, I discovered a passion for coaching, mentoring, and community service. I am always eager for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others and profoundly enjoy helping people overcome any given challenge they face in life. I am also intimately aware of how it feels to not see the value in, or be fully engaged with, the pursuit of knowledge in the classroom as a young person. I believe students will benefit from my lived experience in that regard.
My academic achievements include a 3.97 grade point average, Honors, consistent placement on the Dean's List, and a class rank of 57 out of 683 (top 8%). I will be attending my first year of law school in 2026. I fulfilled my general education requirements and earned an Associate's Degree in Philosophy from the Community College of Denver.
