I graduated from Georgetown University cum laude, with a major in Government and a minor in American history. I obtained my law degree (Juris Doctor) from Tulane University shortly thereafter. My initial work experience was on Capitol Hill where I worked in various senators' offices, and for the Department of Homeland Security. My legal specialty is privacy law and data protection.
I have tutored students at the middle school and high school levels for 15 years, with a focus on world history, American history, criminal justice, English, essay writing, and AP and honors test preparation. My methodology is student led, whereby I help students examine assignments, organize responses, develop answers, and then I help edit and guide where necessary. I do not believe in doing the work for the students, but I do believe in working with students to help them discover the lessons being taught. My main focus in tutoring is helping students feel prepared for assignments and achieve their academic goals.
