I am a certified elementary educator with over 10 years of classroom experience, teaching grades 1 through 5. I hold a Master’s degree in Literacy, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a Colorado State teaching license. My educational background has given me a deep understanding of how children learn, particularly in the areas of reading, writing, and foundational math.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with a wide range of learners in both whole-group and one-on-one settings. I’ve supported students with learning differences, including those with dyslexia and ADHD, and I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach, which provides a structured, multisensory method for teaching reading and spelling—ideal for struggling readers and students with dyslexia.
My teaching approach is personalized, encouraging, and focused on building confidence alongside academic skills. I believe in meeting students where they are and using research-based methods to help them make meaningful progress. I have experience developing and implementing intervention plans, adapting curriculum to fit student needs, and using data to drive instruction.
Now offering private tutoring, I bring both the knowledge of a classroom teacher and the individual attention of a private instructor. I would love the opportunity to support your child’s learning journey!
