Welcome! I’m so glad you’re considering tutoring support—whether your child needs help catching up, wants to get ahead, or just needs a little confidence boost, I’m here to help.
I’m a certified educator with over 15 years of classroom experience, specializing in reading, writing, elementary math, and English language development. I hold a Master’s in Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education, along with endorsements in K–6 Literacy and English as a Second Language. I currently serve as a Reading Specialist, where I support students across all levels—from at-risk readers to advanced learners—and lead curriculum initiatives that improve instruction and outcomes.
Over the years, I’ve taught 3rd through 6th grade in a variety of settings, developed reading intervention programs, led school-wide literacy initiatives, and received extensive training in research-based teaching methods such as the Lucy Calkins Writing Workshop, PEBC Thinking Strategies, and AVID. I’m passionate about creating engaging, tailored lessons that help students feel confident, capable, and motivated to learn.
Subjects I Tutor:
Reading (K–6)
Writing (K–6)
Elementary Math (K–6)
English Language Learners / ESL support
My Teaching Approach:
I use a student-centered, strengths-based approach. That means I meet learners where they are, build on what they do well, and provide the right level of challenge and support. Lessons are interactive and focused on building skills and confidence in a fun, supportive environment. I also integrate proven tools and resources like CommonLit, Wilson, and UFLI to drive measurable progress.
A little more about me:
Outside of teaching, I’m an active and adventurous person! I love running, weight lifting, skiing, scuba diving, and curling up with a good book. I believe in lifelong learning, and I bring that passion and energy into every tutoring session.
If you think we’d be a good match, feel free to reach out—I’d love to connect, answer your questions, and help your child succeed!
