Hello! I am an elementary teacher and in my 10th year working in DPS, and I am working to build a private tutoring business to support students outside of school with 1-1 teaching. I currently am a certified Special Education teacher and have extensive experience supporting students with learning difficulties. I've also taught 4th and 5th grade classrooms and supported a variety of learners, including experience with Gifted/Talented students and multilingual learners. I am certified to teach in Spanish and can support students who are learning English. I love helping kids do their best, build their skills and confidence in school, and helping parents understand how to support their students!
The grade levels I support are 1st through 8th grade for reading, writing, and math. If you have a high schooler who is struggling and needs help with content from 8th grade or earlier, that also works! I also can support with students who struggle with dyslexia, or other specific learning disabilities. I work in Special Education daily, so I am up to date with all the current best practices and supports!
