I'm Ben, a long-time tutor who is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and earned a J.D. with an emphasis in taxation from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a M.B.A. in Marketing and B.A. in Biology from the University of Colorado at Denver. I was valedictorian of my M.B.A. class and a teaching fellow during law school. I've also started multiple companies and worked at an executive level in various organizations.

Having been involved my entire life in helping people and organizations learn and grow, I’ve personally developed methodologies that have allowed me to score in the 95th percentile and higher on every standardized test I’ve ever taken, including the SAT, GMAT, and LSAT. These are now the same tools and techniques I use to tutor others in these disciplines. While in graduate and law school I taught test prep at a Kaplan tutoring center and via individual lessons, helping people advance their lives and careers through educational achievement. While I’ve tutored students of all ages and abilities, my primary experience is with high school and college age young adults, working with them to pass qualification exams for entry to higher levels of education (ACT, SAT, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, etc.). I'm also a multi-published author in various newspapers, magazines, and online (primarily in nonfiction), have won awards for my fictional work, and have taught workshops and given one-on-one instruction in all aspects of the craft of writing, which I approach from a minimalist point of view that promotes simplicity and clarity of expression.

Human life experience rhymes, but no two people are the same. Everyone comes from a different place. I consider it my job to meet students "where they are" and then maximize strength and minimize weakness, all within a framework of best practices. I believe that knowledge is the key to life, whether as a step on the road or as an end in itself. I will help get you to your destination!
