You can call me Jon! I grew up in California and graduated from UC San Diego with a Biochemistry/Cell Biology major with a minor in General Education. I then went to medical school at Midwestern University - AZCOM followed by pediatrics training in Cleveland. I am now in Denver for more training in Allergy/Immunology. If I didn't become a physician, I would have become a teacher!
As a pediatrician with a strong background in teaching, one of my greatest passions is empowering future generations. During my college years, I tutored several middle and high school students in the classroom setting in various subjects including Algebra, Biology, and English. In medical school, I was able to work part-time as a tutor for junior medical students in one-on-one settings with our Physiology department.
I understand that our students already face loads of school work that can be overwhelming at times. I appreciate open discussions with students and parents alike to understand their goals and objectives. I am flexible to work with resources provided by my students' teachers to help my students better understand material they may already be familiar with and utilize applicable examples to help my students better conceptualize their lessons. Feel free to contact me with questions or for scheduling a lesson!
