I have an associate of applied science degree in software development, where I gained skills in programming languages such as Python and C++, as well as querying languages such as SQL. I often assisted peers with coding tasks, and this led me to develop strategies helpful for problem solving. I enjoy seeing the satisfaction of peers arriving at an answer that previously stumped them by employing these skills.

Currently, I'm in my last semester, graduating in two months, with a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in mathematics. My studies include advanced topics like calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and differential equations. Additionally, I have a deep understanding of genetics, molecular biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry from my science course work.

While not a professional tutor, I've served as a high school mentor to middle school students in pre-algebra. My tutoring style emphasizes guiding students and encouraging them to explore solutions independently. I incorporate visual teaching methods to aid understanding, drawing from my own visual learning experience. I'm eager to return to tutoring, helping students excel academically.
