I will keep trying different approaches until I find the one that works best for you. Many of my students have told me that they didn't realize they could do math until they worked with me.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Duke University (majoring in Computer Science) and I received my Masters at Teachers College at Columbia University (majoring in Secondary Mathematics Education). I have taught in a private boarding school, a public school, and a charter school...working with all kids of students. I spent most of my career in New York City, so I am very familiar with and have taught to all of the math Regents. I can't wait to help you to better understand math and see its beauty!
