I have taught in Special Ed. for 9 years helping students fill in their learning gaps. I help students fill in gaps they are missing or just not quite getting in math. I love to hear when they say "now I get it!". I have helped students of various ages improve their reading comprehension and especially like using games and hands-on activities for learning. I love all areas of science and majored in Biology. I worked in a food testing lab for 13 years using lots of Microbiology and some Chemistry. My Masters is in Environmental Science, so I can really help with all areas of science - science rules! When I'm not teaching or tutoring I love to travel. I have been to 11 different countries so far!

My son in in 8th grade and says he really likes Pam and that she makes learning math fun! He did say, "I can't believe I'm saying Math is fun, but she is really that good!" Pam is really nice and easy going. I really like how she encourages my son. I highly recommend her! =)
Pam did a great job working through reading with my daughter. When she got bored, Pam found fun activities to keep her interested. Pam worked with the information I would get from school and make sure her style matches what my daughter was learning. I would highly recommend Pam to anyone looking for a tutor.
Pam has been working with our 8th grade son on math for several weeks now. After struggling for years with math, we finally got him help. We could not be happier with the progress he's made working with Pam. She's easy to work with, gives great feedback on each lesson, and our son's grades are improving. Most important, he's starting to like math. Thank you, Pam!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
For the past ten years I have been employed as a Title 1 Tutor at a private school for at-risk youth. During those years, at any given time, at least 75% of our students have been diagnosed as having ADHD. So much so, that it has affected their academic learning which results in lower grade levels in most subjects. As tutor, it has been my daily job to tutor 1:1 with these students to help them close their learning gaps. I have collected many hands-on activities to use in helping my students learn math.
For the past nine years, I have been employed as a tutor at a private school. I tutor in: reading, reading comprehension, phonics, spelling, math & creative writing. I use different methods to accomplish all this---whatever each student responds to best.
I have nine years experience as a math tutor at a private school in Littleton. For math it helps for it to be fun. I have picked up many math games over the years from attending numerous learning workshops and then using them with my students. It's wonderful to hear students say "now I get it!"
I have given science/environmental education programs for children through the state parks, area nature centers & after-school science clubs for many (!!) years. Science Rules!!!
I am a tutor at a private school for at-risk youth. Many of our students are currently studying to take their GED tests. My job is to go over the material with them and if needed, explain the questions to them so they make sense and go through the steps with them in all the sections. I also go over study skills and test-taking tips with them.
I have tutored Pre-Algebra for the past nine years at the private school where I work. I really enjoy math and it's wonderful when my students say "now I get it!"

For the past 10 years, I've been employed at a private school as a Title 1 Tutor. I have helped numerous students in grades 2-12 organize their school time.
