Sections of ACT questions relate to environmental factors. My background/degrees are in Biology, Environmental science, Life Science and botany, which comes in very handy for the ACT. A number of my previous jobs have been in these fields, gaining years of hands-on knowledge that I now use to explain to students for their better understanding of events/situations.

ADHD

For the past ten years I have been employed as a Title 1 Tutor at a private school for at-risk youth. During those years, at any given time, at least 75% of our students have been diagnosed as having ADHD. So much so, that it has affected their academic learning which results in lower grade levels in most subjects. As tutor, it has been my daily job to tutor 1:1 with these students to help them close their learning gaps. I have collected many hands-on activities to use in helping my students learn math.

Pam makes learning Math fun!

My son in in 8th grade and says he really likes Pam and that she makes learning math fun! He did say, "I can't believe I'm saying Math is fun, but she is really that good!" Pam is really nice and easy going. I really like how she encourages my son. I highly recommend her! =)

Great tutor - knowledgeable, fun, engaging.

Pam did a great job working through reading with my daughter. When she got bored, Pam found fun activities to keep her interested. Pam worked with the information I would get from school and make sure her style matches what my daughter was learning. I would highly recommend Pam to anyone looking for a tutor.

Great Tutor!

Pam has been working with our 8th grade son on math for several weeks now. After struggling for years with math, we finally got him help. We could not be happier with the progress he's made working with Pam. She's easy to work with, gives great feedback on each lesson, and our son's grades are improving. Most important, he's starting to like math. Thank you, Pam!
