I love watching kids light up when they finally get a concept they've been struggling with and helping them believe that learning IS fun! Often times, students can become frustrated with learning because they aren't given enough attention in the public school system- I'm passionate about helping them flourish in a 1-on-1 setting!
I have training in Common Core methods, which is what is taught in most schools. I also have training in teaching elementary science in an engaging way. I've taken and will be enrolled in further methods courses that teach how to teach math and science to elementary-school students, which will benefit your child!
I'm currently enrolled in classes on how children learn language and literacy, which is knowledge that your student will benefit from. I've always been passionate about and excelled in English related subjects, and can pass that passion on to your child! I'm excellent at teaching things in multiple different ways for different learners.
I have training in various theories of learning and am excellent at coming up with new games, rhymes, and methods to remember the proper spelling of words. Spelling is something that just comes with practice and repetition, and I'm great at making that practice and repetition fun!
