Hello! I have extensive experience teaching English online to both children and adults. Currently, I teach children in China and work with adult learners worldwide in an online setting. I love this mode of teaching because it bridges global connections, allowing more students to enhance their English skills regardless of geographical boundaries. Tutoring is especially rewarding for me, as it offers the chance to empower others with new opportunities. Seeing students succeed through their dedication while knowing I played a role in their progress is truly fulfilling.

Previously, I worked as a hydrologic technician—a technical scientist—with the U.S. Geological Survey for four years. My responsibilities included data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Additionally, I was a certified motorboat operator, a scientific research diver, and a cableway inspector, trained to measure stress and strain on systems under load. My studies at the University of Colorado Boulder focused on natural sciences, with a concentration in Natural Resources. My time with the USGS Water Division allowed me to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios.

I am a certified English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor with a TEFL certification. I completed a 160-hour course with the Recoletta Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later taught with Bridge-Linguatec in Santiago, Chile, for six months. After my teaching experience in South America, I returned to the U.S. and began teaching English to immigrants through Intercambio Uniting Communities while completing my studies at CU-Boulder. During a semester break, I also taught ESL to pre-kindergarten students at Gibson Youth Academy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
