I was born and raised in Yellow Knife, North West Territory, Canada. I majored in Art at Fort St. John School, British Columbia. I was a rodeo cowboy for 12 years and painted my experiences along the way. Eventually I settled in Colorado Springs and decided to focus on my artwork by building a studio in my home and returned to painting full-time. I've been a working artist for over 30 years.
I have taught one-on-one classes to youngsters, beginners, and intermediate painter's and conducted drawing and painting classes in my personal studio. I have enjoyed working with all age group and skill levels throughout the years.
I have shown in galleries in California, Colorado and Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have been a set artist on the HBO series Deadwood (3 Seasons). I have been commissioned for portraits by Adriano Mores, a world-champion Professional Bullrider (PBR), Larry Mayan, 6-times all around champion cowboy for his boot company and designed a wine label for Rocky Mountain Community Land Trust. I work in many genres including portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and specialize in Western themes.
